Coaching Built on Confidence and Accountability
I’m Charlie Park, founder and coach of Easy Buckets Basketball Training.
I’ve spent the past eight years coaching youth basketball for boys and girls across multiple age groups. My goal is simple: help players build strong basketball skills, understand how to use those skills in real games, and develop the confidence to keep improving.
My Coaching Philosophy
I believe players learn best through positive reinforcement and accountability.
I want every athlete to feel supported while also understanding that improvement takes focused work. We train the fundamentals, but we do not stop there. Players learn how to dribble, pass, shoot, finish, defend, and make decisions in different game situations.
The goal is not just to perform a drill correctly. It is to understand when and how to use the skill when the game speeds up.
Basketball Experience
I have coached youth boys and girls for eight years through local recreation programs, including the Trails Recreation League, Parker Recreation League, and South Suburban leagues.
Two of the teams I coached completed undefeated seasons.
I have also played in competitive basketball leagues for approximately 20 years and have spent years training alongside my two daughters.
Experience Teaching Young Athletes
My coaching background extends beyond basketball.
I am a 3rd-degree Taekwondo black belt and spent years as an instructor responsible for more than 100 students. That experience shaped how I teach, communicate, build discipline, and hold young athletes accountable while keeping the environment positive.
I am also certified in concussion training.
What I Want Players to Get From Easy Buckets
Basketball development matters, but so does the way a player feels about the work.
I want players to become more confident with the ball, make smarter decisions, understand the game better, and learn to take responsibility for their own improvement.
Most importantly, I want them to enjoy training, feel supported, and leave the gym believing they can get better.
